Morgan was born July 2, 1989 , to Pamela Morgan and Michael Morgan. Morgan was raised by her parents in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles. Morgan was a fan of many games as a child but she began playing soccer when she was 14. Following high school, Morgan joined the Cypress Elite club team. They took home the Coast Soccer League Under-16 championship and came in third place in the under-19 bracket. Morgan continued her training at Diamond Bar High School, where she worked on her soccer skills. National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) picked Morgan as an All-American Athlete. She was also a member of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) regional and state divisions. Morgan completed her soccer journey at UC Berkeley, where she was the captain of the California Golden Bears team in scoring from the very beginning of the season.
