Adar Gandelsman
Adar Gandelsman was an Israeli model. She was Miss Israel's 2017 runner-up and was named Miss Universe Israel. Adar did not place in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant held in Las Vegas. At the pageant, Gandelsman snapped a photo with Sarah Idan, Miss Universe Iraq that year. Idan and her family fled Iraq in December 2017. They were upset because she had taken a photo of Miss Israel with Miss Israel. Miss Israel served as Miss Universe Iraq at the time. Gandelsman hails from Ashkelon and was born in Israel to Ashkenazi Jewish parents. [1][2] Adar is her Hebrew name, and also the month in which she was born in.
